Day 01

Delhi
North India is renowned for its pleasant temperature and clean surroundings. It is also recognized for exciting locations that must be your dream if you're a tourist. Once you get to Delhi, the capital city of India, you will start following the steps of the Maharajas. See the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was the official palace of the Mughal emperors for more than two hundred years. Check out the beautiful castles, gardens, and mosques in the Fort. Afterwards, go to Jama Masjid, one of India's largest mosques and a work of architecture by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Go to the busy Chandni Chowk market. This market is a great place to look for traditional Indian handicrafts and try some of Delhi's famous street food.

Day 02

Agra
On the second day of your trip, go to Agra, where the Taj Mahal is. See the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a sign of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan's love for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal. Explore the lush grounds and beautiful white marble mausoleum to see the intricate carvings and calligraphy. After that, keep going to the Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site that was the home of the Mughal rulers for a long time. You can visit the Fort's beautiful mosques, palaces, and courtyards.

Day 03

Jaipur
On day three, you'll start your trip to Jaipur, known as the "Pink City." It's the capital of the state of Rajasthan and nicknamed "The Pink City." Visit the City Palace, a beautiful palace complex once the home of Jaipur's Maharaja. There are many beautiful courtyards, gardens, and museums inside the palace that you can visit. Afterwards, go to Jantar Mantar, which the Maharaja of Jaipur built as an astronomical observatory. See the Hawa Mahal, a beautiful palace known for its ornate front and many windows that let air flow through. You can end the day by going to the Hawa Mahal after you've looked at the beautiful equipment and learned about the history of astronomy in India.

Day 04

Jaipur
On the fourth day of your trip to Jaipur, go to the Amber Fort, a beautiful fort complex that sits on top of a hill and looks out over the city. An elephant or a jeep can take you to the top of the hill, where you can see a breathtaking view of the mountains and lakes in the area. Several beautiful palaces, courtyards, and gardens inside the Fort's walls can be seen. After that, take a boat ride around the beautiful Jal Mahal palace, which is in the middle of a lake and is a tourist attraction in its own right.

Day 05

Jodhpur
On the fifth day, you will go to Jodhpur, the "Blue City." Visit the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort, which was the home of the Maharaja of Jodhpur for many years. Find out about the Fort's beautiful museums, palaces, and courtyards. Afterwards, go to the Jaswant Thada, a beautiful tomb made entirely of white marble. The Maharaja built it to honour his father. Be sure to look at the beautiful carvings and the fantastic views of the surrounding hills.

Day 06

Udaipur
See Udaipur, often known as the "City of Lakes," on the sixth day of your journey. Udaipur is located in Rajasthan. You should visit the City Palace, a stunning palace complex formerly the residence of the Maharaja of Udaipur. Within the palace's walls are several pretty courtyards, gardens, and museums that you can explore. After that, you should make your way to the Jagdish Temple, which is a stunning structure that is devoted to Lord Vishnu. Spend some time appreciating the breathtaking architecture and art at the sculpture garden. Take a boat trip on Lake Pichola at the end of the day. Lake Pichola is a magnificent lake that offers breathtaking views of the hills and palaces that are in the surrounding area.

Day 07

Pushkar
You will go to the holy city of Pushkar on day seven. Pushkar is well-known for the ghats and temples that can be found there. Pay a visit to the Brahma Temple, the only temple in the world devoted to Lord Brahma. Lord Brahma is believed to be the world's creator, so this temple should bear his name. Those who live in the area believe that Lord Brahma created Pushkar Lake out of thin air. Relax and rejuvenate with a dip in the sacred waters of the lake. To better understand the city's spiritual side, you should take a tour around the lake and stop at the various temples and ghats along the way.

Day 08

Jaisalmer
On day eight, make your way to the city of Jaisalmer, renowned for the stunning forts and sand dunes surrounding it. See the spectacular Jaisalmer Fort, also referred to as the "Golden Fort", because of the way it appears due to its golden colour. The structure dates back to the 12th century and is famous for its golden hue. Havelis, temples, and palaces of incredible architectural beauty can all be found within the confines of the Fort's walls. After that, you should ride a camel to some nearby dunes and enjoy the sunset over the desert on the way there.

Day 09

Bikaner
On day nine of your journey, you will go to the city of Bikaner, famous for its many stunning palaces and temples. Take a visit to the spectacular Junagarh Fort, which was constructed in that location in the 16th century. Several architecturally stunning palaces, temples, and museums are within the Fort's walls. After that, you should travel to the Karni Mata Temple, also called the Rat Temple. This one-of-a-kind temple is devoted to the goddess Karni Mata and is famous for being a community that values and cares for rats.

Day 13

Delhi

On the tenth day of your trip, you should return to Delhi and spend the day exploring some of the attractions this city has to offer. Pay a visit to the Lotus Temple, a stunning structure that takes the form of a lotus flower and welcomes individuals of various religious persuasions. Spend some time exploring the city's many museums and art galleries, such as the National Museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art. Your journey in the footsteps of the Maharajas should come to a close with a trip to the Qutub Minar, a stunning tower that has existed for more than seven hundred years and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This itinerary will take you on a tour of some of the most stunning cities in North India and Rajasthan and some of their most important historical sites. While retracing the paths of the Maharajas, you will get the opportunity to gain an education on the many customs and history of the region.
