Rajasthan

Rajasthan is a state located in the northwest of India, known for its rich culture, majestic forts and palaces, and beautiful desert landscapes. It is the largest state in India by area and is also known as the “Land of Kings.”

Rajasthan is well-connected to other parts of India by air, rail, and road. The major airports in Rajasthan are located in Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. The state also has a well-developed railway network, with major railway stations in cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur, among others. Rajasthan is also well-connected by road to other parts of India, with several national and state highways passing through it.

How to Reach

Delhi, being the capital city of India, is well-connected to all parts of the country by air, train, and road. Here are the different ways to reach Delhi:
  • By Air: Delhi has one of the busiest airports in India, the Indira Gandhi International Airport. It is well-connected to major cities in India and around the world. You can take a direct flight to Delhi from almost all major cities in the world.
  • By Train: Delhi has four major railway stations - New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, and Sarai Rohilla Railway Station. All these stations are well-connected to major cities in India. You can take a train to Delhi from any of these cities.
  • By Road: Delhi is well-connected to major cities in North India by road. You can take a bus or hire a taxi to reach Delhi. The city is connected to the rest of India via the national highways.
Once you reach Delhi, you can use the metro, buses, taxis, or auto-rickshaws to get around the city and explore its various tourist attractions. The Delhi Metro is one of the most convenient and efficient ways to travel around the city, with a network that connects all major areas of Delhi and its neighboring cities.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Rajasthan is during the winter months from October to March when the weather is pleasant and cool. The temperature during this time ranges from 10°C to 27°C, making it ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities. This is also the peak tourist season in Rajasthan, so it is advisable to book your accommodation and travel in advance to avoid any last-minute hassles.
If you want to visit Rajasthan during the monsoon season, which lasts from July to September, you can witness the beautiful lush green landscapes and the famous Teej festival celebrated across the state. However, the rains may disrupt your travel plans and make it difficult to explore the outdoors.
Avoid visiting Rajasthan during the summer months from April to June as the temperature can soar up to 45°C, making it very hot and uncomfortable. The heat can also lead to dehydration and heatstroke, which can be dangerous for tourists.
